Overview

• A 14-year-old girl from East Boston faces charges including assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery.
• She is being held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Oct. 6 in Chelsea Juvenile Court.
• Prosecutors say videos posted online and other footage show two teenagers striking and restraining the victim during the Sept. 24 attack.
• The victim was followed after leaving East Boston High School, attacked from behind on Putnam Street, and suffered wounds to her head, legs, and back, including a punctured lung.
• A second juvenile involved is expected to be arraigned later, and the victim reported a prior dispute with one of the teens stemming from broken eyeglasses two years ago.
