Teen Charged with Murder After Fatal Stabbing of Asylum Hotel Worker

Rhiannon Skye Whyte, 27, died after being attacked at a railway station, with the suspect having arrived in the UK seeking asylum.

Deng Chol Majek, 18, has been charged with murder following the death of Rhiannon Skye Whyte, who was stabbed at Bescot Stadium railway station.
Whyte, who worked at an asylum seeker hotel in Walsall, died in hospital three days after the attack, surrounded by her family.
Majek, believed to have arrived in the UK via a small boat in July, was initially charged with attempted murder before the charges were upgraded.
The attack is considered an isolated incident, and police are not seeking any other suspects.
Majek is remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on November 19.
