• The 32-year-old rideshare driver was found semi-conscious in her car about 1:25am with stab wounds to her head, neck and back and remains in critical condition at Gold Coast University Hospital.
• Detectives allege the boy booked a ride from Hope Island to Coomera, was the sole passenger, and fled after the attack before being arrested later on Wednesday.
• The Coomera teen faces charges of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, armed robbery and deprivation of liberty and is expected to appear in Southport Children’s Court on Thursday.
• A crime scene was declared at the Foxwell Road shopping centre as officers conducted searches, including with a dog squad, and gathered forensic evidence.
