A 14-year-old boy has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 20-year-old Harrison Boonstoppel during a mass shooting on Halloween weekend in Tampa's Ybor City, which left two people dead and 16 injured.
Tyrell Stephen Phillips, 22, was also arrested and charged with second-degree murder with a firearm for the killing of 14-year-old Elijah Wilson during the same incident.
The shooting occurred after an argument escalated between two groups celebrating Halloween in Tampa’s entertainment district.
The teen, who has a previous criminal record, will be charged as an adult under Florida law.
Police are still searching for other suspects involved in the shooting.
