  • The Television Academy will present the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award to Danson and Steenburgen during the live Emmy telecast from the Peacock Theater on Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
  • This ceremony marks the award’s first presentation since 2022 and the inaugural recognition of a married couple since its establishment in 2002.
  • Danson is celebrated for co-founding the American Oceans Campaign, serving on Oceana’s board and testifying before Congress on ocean protection.
  • Steenburgen has partnered with organizations such as the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Heifer International and school arts initiatives to advance global health and education.
  • Together the actors founded Angels at Risk to prevent youth substance abuse and have received accolades for their advocacy of LGBTQ rights.
