MSNBC's morning shows 'Morning Joe' and 'Way Too Early' experienced significant technical difficulties on Tuesday, December 12th, causing a delay in their usual broadcast times.
The issues began during the 5 a.m. hour with 'Way Too Early', leading to a rerun of 'The Rachel Maddow Show' being aired while the problem was addressed.
'Morning Joe', one of MSNBC's flagship programs, was delayed by nearly 15 minutes, with the broadcast only starting at 6:12 a.m. instead of the usual 6 a.m.
During the delay, viewers were shown a shot of the Capitol building, heard The Who's 'Teenage Wasteland', and saw a series of commercials and promotions, including a rerun of 'Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell'.
MSNBC has declined to comment on the technical issues, which are rare but do occasionally occur in live broadcasting.
