Overview
- A technical fault on a non-Trenitalia train at Anagni at 16:55 on June 29 slowed Rome–Naples traffic, causing high-speed, Intercity and regional services to incur delays of up to two hours for both Trenitalia and Italo.
- Faults at Reggio Emilia AV station disrupted the Milan–Bologna high-speed line, generating up to 50-minute delays and cancelling the 17:30 Milan–Pescara service between Reggio Emilia and Bologna Centrale.
- An Intercity train on the Naples–Frosinone route was halted by a fire near Caianello, leaving passengers stranded for more than 90 minutes without water or support.
- Evening operations have gradually resumed but Rome–Naples journeys still face delays up to 120 minutes and some trains have been cancelled or rerouted under special timetables.
