Overview

  • A catenary power fault at Montcada i Reixac on June 6 led to halted or delayed services on the R3, R4 and R7 lines, with R3 circulation stopped at Montcada Bifurcació and R7 departures suspended for over 90 minutes.
  • Adif technicians restored the electrical supply by 14:00, allowing trains to resume operations and initiating a progressive recovery of the affected lines.
  • Rodalies advised passengers to stay clear of track areas without authorized staff and coordinated with Mossos d’Esquadra and Bombers to ensure safety during repairs.
  • A separate mechanical failure on the R2 Sud line near Sitges later in the day disrupted regional services until full circulation was reinstated by 19:50.
  • To mitigate holiday travel impacts, Rodalies arranged alternative bus services between Montcada Ripollet and Fabra i Puig stations while recovery efforts were underway.
