Overview
- Alex Rigola will inaugurate the season in the Fabià Puigserver hall with his adaptation of Bulgakov’s El mestre i Margarita featuring Nao Albet, Francesc Garrido and Laia Manzanares.
- Julio Manrique has curated 28 shows—including eight in-house productions, ten co-productions and ten guest-company performances—in partnership with institutions such as the Festival d’Avignon, CDN, Liceu and Teatro Real.
- The season’s repertoire combines classics, contemporary works and experimental pieces, ranging from Jez Butterworth’s El barquer and Andrea Jiménez’s Contra Antígona to an AI-themed comedy in Ai! La misèria ens farà feliços.
- Building on last season’s growth to 119,000 spectators at an 88% occupancy rate, the program features family offerings with El Petit alongside educational residencies like Ànima Lliure and the Projecte IT to attract younger audiences.
- Supported by a €10.3 million budget, the theater is also preparing special events for its 50th anniversary in 2026 and plans to revive Matthew López’s L’herència in the 2026–27 season.
