- Repair specialist Ycs Yang’s teardown, posted on Bilibili and shared on Reddit, identifies Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X80 in the iPhone 17, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max.
- Apple retains its own C1X modem in the iPhone Air and the earlier C1 in the iPhone 16e, confirming a mixed-supplier strategy across the lineup.
- mmWave support is enabled only on U.S. versions of the X80-equipped models, and Canadian carriers have not deployed mmWave yet.
