Overview

  • The indefinite prohibition bars Andrew Brook from teaching in any English school, sixth-form college, youth accommodation or children’s home.
  • A TRA panel concluded he demonstrated a complete lack of insight into his misconduct and minimised the harm inflicted on Pupil A.
  • The inappropriate relationship began in March 2019 when the student was in sixth form and continued until August 2020, then persisted for six months after she started university.
  • During the student’s first term under national lockdown, Brook allegedly supplied alcohol, smoked marijuana with her and maintained sexual relations.
  • In a written response to the tribunal, Brook denied manipulation claims, accused the agency of moral policing and insisted the pupil fully consented.
