TCM Marks 30th Anniversary with Special Programming, New Podcasts, and Studio Tour
Prominent Filmmakers Extend Advisory Agreement, Co-hosting Double Features in New 'Two for One' Franchise
- Turner Classic Movies (TCM) is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a full slate of programming, including the 15th annual TCM Classic Film Festival, new podcasts, and a WB/TCM Classic Movie Tour.
- TCM's official podcast, The Plot Thickens, will debut later this year, following the release of Talking Pictures: A Movie Memories Podcast, in collaboration with Max.
- Prominent filmmakers including Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, and Paul Thomas Anderson, who extended their advisory agreement with TCM through 2024, will co-host a double-feature of their choice each Saturday night in a new franchise called Two for One.
- The TCM Classic Film Festival, taking place from April 18-21, will honor film historian Jeanine Basinger with the Robert Osborne Award, and pay tribute to actor Billy Dee Williams and makeup artist Lois Burwell.
- A new documentary executive produced by Martin Scorsese about the filmmaking team of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger, Made in London, will make its U.S. television premiere on TCM later this year.
