Overview
- Taylor Swift teased hand-written lyrics “Let’s fast forward to 300 takeout coffees later/I see your profile and your smile on unsuspecting waiters,” on Instagram which fans believe to be from her upcoming re-recorded album '1989 (Taylor’s Version)'.
- The album, set to release on October 27, 2023, is part of Swift's endeavour to regain control of her masters, a project she started in 2019 after her former label was sold.
- '1989 (Taylor’s Version)' will feature five completely new songs: 'Slut!,' 'Say Don’t Go,' 'Now That We Don’t Talk,' 'Suburban Legends,' and 'Is It Over Now?' in addition to the original and bonus tracks from the 2014 album.
- Swift, in September, partnered with Google in a word puzzle game where her fans were given a sneak peek at the new tracklist upon solving the puzzles.
- Unlike her previous re-recordings, this album will not feature any duets, shutting down the rumors of collaborations with artists such as Nicki Minaj or Harry Styles.
