US-Sängerin Taylor Swift hat mit ihrem neuen Album einen Rekordstart in Deutschland hingelegt. Sowohl das Album "The Life of a Showgirl" als auch die darauf enthaltene Single "The Fate of Ophelia" landeten auf Platz eins der deutschen Charts.

  • In the latest Official German Charts, The Life Of A Showgirl and The Fate Of Ophelia both entered at No. 1, a first for an international artist.
  • Swift occupies eight of the Top 10 singles, the most simultaneous Top 10 entries by any act in the chart’s history.
  • Release-day activity included 12.2 million album streams on Oct. 3 and 14.5 million artist streams within 24 hours, according to GfK.
  • The album also set German records for the most vinyl copies sold in a single day and within a week, the chart compilers report.
  • Former No. 1s were displaced as Golden from Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters slipped to No. 2 and 01099’s Orange fell to No. 17, while new albums from Kool Savas (No. 2), Beatrice Egli (No. 4), Ben Zucker (No. 5), The Kelly Family (No. 11) and Vincent Gross (No. 12) entered.
