Taylor Swift Sets Three-Day Theatrical ‘Release Party’ for ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ Oct. 3–5

Tickets launched at $12 in a direct AMC-led rollout that revives her theater-first playbook.

Overview

  • An 89-minute program will premiere the “The Fate of Ophelia” music video with behind-the-scenes footage, new lyric videos, and Swift’s personal reflections on the album.
  • The event will play at all 540 AMC locations as well as thousands of non-AMC screens across North America, including Cinemark and Regal.
  • Tickets went on sale Sept. 19 at 12:12 p.m. ET for $12 before fees, driving heavy online queues and intermittent site issues reported by exhibitors.
  • Screenings run Oct. 3–5 with first shows at 3 p.m. ET, will start on time without trailers or ads, and will allow fans to sing and dance under safety guidelines.
  • An international rollout spans territories such as Canada, Mexico, the U.K., France, Germany, the Nordics, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, with tickets on sale Sept. 23 and additional countries to follow later in October.
