Taylor Swift has donated $1 million to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee's Tennessee Emergency Response Fund, aiding the recovery efforts in areas devastated by recent tornadoes.
The storms, which occurred last Saturday, resulted in at least six confirmed deaths, over 60 injuries, and extensive damage to hundreds of homes and buildings.
Swift, who was raised in Hendersonville, Tennessee, one of the hard-hit areas, has a history of philanthropy, including a similar donation to the same fund in 2020 following another series of tornadoes.
The fund provides a range of services to those affected, including financial assistance, food, temporary housing, debris clean-up, and animal sheltering.
The donation comes amidst Swift's ongoing record-breaking Eras Tour, during which she has also made substantial contributions to food banks in the cities she performs.
