Overview

• The survey will present more than 90 works spanning painting, sculpture, video, textile, neon, and installation.
• Landmark pieces include Exorcism of the Last Painting I Ever Made (1996) and the Turner Prize–nominated My Bed (1998).
• The museum will publicly debut the 2002 quilt The Last of the Gold, which addresses abortion through an “A to Z” motif.
• Recent work on illness features the 2024 bronze Ascension and stills from a new documentary confronting her surgery and stoma.
• Conceived with Emin, the exhibition adds large-scale new works, including the 2023 outdoor piece I Followed You Until The End, and highlights her ties to Margate.
