  • Solar systems start at Rs 2,499 for a 1 kW installation under a model that requires just one-third of the total cost as an upfront payment.
  • The PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana offers up to Rs 78,000 in central subsidies for systems up to 3 kW while Odisha adds state grants of up to Rs 60,000.
  • In FY25 the initiative onboarded 1,033 new customers, lifting the state’s rooftop solar base to 1,759 households—a fourfold increase from the previous year.
  • Partnering with the Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency, Tata Power extends coverage across the state and backs installations with 25-year module warranties and lifetime after-sales support in over 450 districts.
  • The company aims to install 300,000 solar rooftops in Odisha and one million nationwide over the next five years.
