Overview
- The revised Tata Motors prices take effect on September 22, the day the new GST slabs go live.
- Model-wise cuts include Tiago ₹75,000, Tigor ₹80,000, Altroz ₹1.10 lakh, Punch ₹85,000, Nexon up to ₹1.55 lakh, Curvv ₹65,000, Harrier ₹1.40 lakh, and Safari ₹1.45 lakh.
- Managing director Shailesh Chandra said the company will pass the entire tax benefit to buyers to improve affordability.
- GST 2.0 sets 18% GST for petrol, LPG, and CNG cars up to 1,200 cc and diesel up to 1,500 cc within about 4,000 mm in length, while larger vehicles face 40%.
- The compensation cess has been discontinued, qualifying hybrids move to 18%, and electric vehicles keep a 5% rate.
