Tata Capital, LG Electronics India and WeWork India Lead Rs 30,000-Crore IPO Wave Next Week

Investor appetite faces a test with three large offerings crowding next week’s calendar.

Overview

  • LG Electronics India set a price band of Rs 1,080–1,140 for its Rs 11,607 crore IPO, opening Oct 7–9 as a pure offer-for-sale equal to 15% of post-offer equity, implying a valuation of about Rs 73,307–77,380 crore.
  • Tata Capital’s IPO opens Oct 6–8 with a price band of Rs 310–326 for about Rs 15,500 crore, aiming to strengthen its Tier-1 capital under RBI’s listing mandate for upper-layer NBFCs.
  • WeWork India launched a Rs 3,000 crore offer on Oct 3 priced at Rs 615–648 per share, entirely an offer-for-sale that closes on Oct 7.
  • LG will run an anchor round on Oct 6 with bookrunners including Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, Axis Capital, BofA Securities and Citigroup, and the shares are tentatively slated to list on Oct 14 with Kfin Technologies as registrar.
  • Grey-market quotes indicated a premium of about Rs 146 for LG at 9 a.m. Oct 3, a volatile and unofficial signal of interest, as SEBI saw a spurt of new DRHP filings from names such as Sterlite Electric, Runwal Developers and Augmont.
