Tata Altroz Facelift Gets Bharat NCAP 5-Star Safety Rating

The certification spans petrol, diesel and CNG variants, underscoring Tata’s lead in hatchback crash safety.

Overview

  • Official scores are 29.65 out of 32 for adult protection and 44.90 out of 49 for child protection, including a 23.90/24 dynamic result and a perfect 12/12 for CRS installation.
  • In adult tests, the Altroz recorded 15.55/16 in the frontal offset and 14.11/16 in the side impact, with a stable structure and confirmed head protection in the side pole assessment.
  • Bharat NCAP’s annexure states the 5-star rating applies across a wide range of petrol, diesel and CNG trims, with tested units including Pure CNG MT, CRTV S CNG MT and ACCOMP S DMT.
  • The facelifted model’s safety suite features six airbags as standard, plus ABS with EBD, ESC, ISOFIX mounts and seatbelt reminders across variants.
  • This is the ninth Tata model assessed by Bharat NCAP to earn five stars, and media comparisons place the Altroz ahead of rivals such as the Maruti Baleno with lower ratings.
