Target to Expand Next-Day Delivery to 35 Metros by Late October

The retailer is moving to a market-based fulfillment model to boost speed without eroding profits.

Overview

  • The rollout lifts next-day parcel reach to 54% of the U.S. population from 20%, with new coverage in cities including San Diego, Orlando, Tampa, Charlotte, Cleveland, Kansas City, Pittsburgh and St. Louis.

  • The company says same-day delivery already reaches over 80% of Americans and two-day shipping reaches roughly 99%, with free pickup and drive-up options also available.
