- Taranjit Singh Sandhu formally assumed his roles as Adviser to the Board of USISPF and Chairman of its Geopolitical Institute in mid-July 2025.

- Sandhu brings nearly 40 years of diplomatic experience, highlighted by his tenure as India’s Ambassador to the US from 2020 to 2024 and multiple postings in Washington, D.C.
- USISPF’s Geopolitical Institute was created to institutionalize non-governmental support for the India-US COMPACT and strengthen cooperation in defense, technology, energy and trade.
- He will offer strategic guidance on defense cooperation, vaccine diplomacy, emerging technologies and energy partnerships within USISPF’s multilateral platforms.
