Overview

• Industries minister TRB Rajaa said Reliance Consumer Products will build an integrated manufacturing facility at SIPCOT Allikulam with an outlay of ₹1,156 crore.
• The unit spans 60 acres and will make regional snacks and staples including biscuits, spices, wheat flour and edible oil.
• The state projects more than 2,000 jobs over five years from the facility, according to the minister's announcement.
• Reliance Consumer Products previously outlined a plan to become a direct subsidiary of Reliance Industries to sharpen focus on the segment.
• The announcement follows recent MoUs touted by the state, including ASM Technologies' ₹250 crore ESDM design facility and commitments claimed from overseas outreach.
