  • P. Shankar, formerly managing director of the Textbook and Educational Services Corporation, has been appointed Secretary of Higher Education and C. Samayamoorthy has been reassigned to the Human Resources Department.
  • Nine district collectors have been named, including S. Arunraj in Perambalur and K.J. Praveen Kumar in Madurai, as part of the administrative overhaul.
