Overview
- On July 27, M. K. Stalin was declared fit for discharge from Apollo Hospitals in Chennai after recovering from a therapeutic procedure to correct heart rate variations
- He underwent a diagnostic angiogram followed by a cardiac intervention led by Dr. G. Sengottuvelu’s team on July 24
- Throughout his week-long stay, the chief minister maintained official work by converting his hospital suite into a camp office and meeting ministers in person and via video link
- Advised to resume his normal routine after three days, Stalin returned home in stable condition and publicly thanked political leaders, officials, actors and medical staff for their support
- Upon discharge, he wrote to Prime Minister Modi requesting immediate release of ₹2,151.59 crore pending under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and urging clearance of central funds for stalled state projects
