Overview

• C and D category employees in profit-making public sector undertakings will receive a total of 20%, comprising an 8.33% bonus and 11.67% ex-gratia, based on allocable surplus.
• For PSUs without allocable surplus, eligible workers will get 10%, split as an 8.33% bonus plus 1.67% ex-gratia, while Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board staff will receive only the 8.33% bonus.
• Eligibility thresholds under the amended Bonus Act are set at Rs 21,000 per month for coverage and Rs 7,000 for calculation, with relaxations extending benefits to all C and D category PSU staff.
• Permanent eligible employees will receive between Rs 8,400 and Rs 16,800.
• A Rs 3,000 payment was announced for temporary staff, with separate orders to follow for cooperative institutions and societies.
