Tame Impala Details New Album 'Deadbeat' and Sets Short U.S. Arena Tour

Kevin Parker pivots toward Western Australia’s bush-doof rave aesthetics on his fifth LP.

Overview

  • Deadbeat is officially slated for October 17 via Columbia Records, marking Tame Impala’s first full-length on the label.
  • The 12-track album includes the singles End of the Summer and Loser, with preorders and multiple physical variants available.
  • Loser arrived September 3 with a Sam Kristofski–directed video starring Joe Keery and featuring a brief Beck cameo.
  • Tame Impala announced eight U.S. arena dates from October 31 to November 14, starting with two nights at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center and concluding in Oakland.
  • Parker wrote and recorded the record in early 2025 between Fremantle and his Wave House studio in Injidup, and he will DJ opening sets for Justice in Australia in December.
