Overview
- The band confirmed an authorised, collaborative book titled Talking Heads: New Feeling that will be published by Abrams Books and released May 18, 2027.
- New Feeling compiles decades of archive material, including handwritten lyrics, original album sketches, private photos and hundreds of images drawn from the group’s vaults.
- All four members — David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Jerry Harrison and Chris Frantz — wrote new essays for the book and appear together in the publisher’s announcement.
- The volume features guest pieces from figures such as Lorde, Debbie Harry, Karl Ove Knausgaard and Jeff Bridges and will be offered in limited-edition variants aimed at collectors.
- The book is part of a coordinated legacy push that follows Stop Making Sense reissues, archival releases on Rhino, and a SiriusXM Talking Heads channel meant to mark the 50th anniversary of Talking Heads: 77.
