Overview
- The Taj Mahal logged about 6.26 million domestic visitors and 0.645 million foreign visitors in FY 2024–25.
- Its footfall accounted for nearly 12% of all entries across the 145 ticketed monuments overseen by the Archaeological Survey of India.
- For domestic tourism, the Sun Temple in Konark drew 3.57 million visitors and Delhi’s Qutub Minar registered 3.20 million.
- Among foreign tourists, Agra Fort and Qutub Minar followed the Taj Mahal with roughly 0.22 million visitors each.
- The India Tourism Data Compendium 2025 also notes recovery indicators, including 5.66 crore visits to ASI sites in 2024–25 and a 4.52% rise in FTAs to 9.95 million in 2024.
