- Taiwan’s defense ministry said seven PLA aircraft, seven PLAN vessels and one official ship were detected around the island by 6 a.m. local time on Sunday.
- Five of the aircraft crossed the Taiwan Strait’s median line and entered the island’s northern and southwestern ADIZ, according to the ministry.
- The ROC Armed Forces reported they had tracked the activity and taken responsive measures.
- On Saturday, the ministry recorded six aircraft, 11 naval vessels and one official ship operating nearby.
- NSB Director-General Tsai Ming-yen said China has assigned two to four Taiwan-focused staff to some embassies to monitor and intimidate Taiwanese abroad, and he said the bureau is working with local authorities to prevent harassment.
