Tabby Stoecker Joins BBC's Gladiators for Series Four

Her casting signals a push to pair elite athletes with celebrities after filming finished in July–August 2026 ahead of an early 2027 launch.

Overview

  • The BBC confirmed on Tuesday that Olympic skeleton champion and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Tabby Stoecker will be part of Gladiators series four.
  • Stoecker has already filmed her episodes but the broadcaster has not yet revealed her Gladiator name, costume or the series’ exact release date.
  • Series four was filmed in Sheffield in late July and early August 2026 and is scheduled to air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in early 2027.
  • Other new recruits include three-time World’s Strongest Man Tom Stoltman and former rugby star Joe Marler, who will appear as the show’s first celebrity Gladiator called Mauler, and the series adds a brand-new event plus a celebrity special.
  • The cast changes follow earlier departures by former Gladiators Jamie Bigg and Lystus Ebosele and form part of a wider effort to refresh the show as Saturday-night entertainment with hosts Bradley and Barney Walsh and strong past audience figures.
