T1 Energy Strikes Three-Year Deal to Supply 900 MW of U.S.-Made Solar Modules to Treaty Oak

The agreement aligns Treaty Oak’s projects with new foreign-content rules by tapping cells from T1’s G2 Austin fab now under construction.

Overview

  • T1 will provide at least 900 MW of modules using U.S.-manufactured cells from its planned G2 Austin facility, with products expected to comply with FEOC rules.
  • Construction on G2 Austin’s initial 2.1 GW phase began earlier in December, with first production targeted by the end of 2026.
  • T1 projects modules built with G2 Austin cells will exceed 60% domestic content, with additional increases anticipated.
  • The G2 Austin cell fab is planned at 5.3 GW across two phases and complements T1’s operational 5 GW G1 Dallas module plant that uses TOPCon technology.
  • Benzinga reported T1 shares rose about 10.7% in premarket trading after the announcement.
