T-Mobile's Starlink satellite connectivity beta is now available nationwide for iPhone and Android users, regardless of carrier, and free until July 2025.
The service allows text messaging in areas without cellular or Wi-Fi coverage, with plans to expand to multimedia messages, calls, and mobile data in the future.
T-Mobile customers on eligible plans will receive the feature at no extra cost post-beta, while others can subscribe for $15 per month; non-T-Mobile users can access it for $20 per month.
Users who register for the beta by the end of February will be eligible for a discounted rate of $10 per month starting in July 2025.
The service operates automatically on compatible smartphones, requiring no additional hardware, and supports emergency alerts in dead zones.
