Syrskyi Says Russian Marines Bogged Down Near Dobropillia as Ukraine Logs 200 Daily Clashes

Kyiv's top commander describes a stretched 1,250-kilometer front facing small-unit infiltration tactics.

Overview

  • Ukraine’s General Staff reports 200 combat engagements in the past 24 hours, including 67 assaults repelled in the Pokrovsk sector.
  • Russian forces launched 59 airstrikes, dropped 109 guided bombs, conducted 4,396 shelling attacks with 89 MLRS salvos, and deployed 4,774 kamikaze drones over the last day, according to the General Staff.
  • Oleksandr Syrskyi says Russia lacks the manpower and resources for a decisive push toward Dnipropetrovsk, citing a thwarted offensive in the Novopavlivka sector and marine units stuck taking losses near Dobropillia.
  • Ukraine is conducting 15–20 assault operations daily and has recently regained control of about 168 square kilometers, Syrskyi reports.
  • The commander says the active front has expanded to nearly 1,250 kilometers and that Ukraine faces 160–190 daily engagements, as Russia fires roughly twice as many artillery shells and Ukraine counters with precision strikes and maneuver.
