Overview
- Defense Minister Murhaf Abu Qasra said he met SDF commander Mazloum Abdi in Damascus and agreed to a comprehensive ceasefire across northern and northeastern fronts with immediate implementation.
- State media reported a local truce in Aleppo’s Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh districts after overnight fighting that left at least one member of the internal security forces dead and others, including civilians, injured.
- The Syrian Defence Ministry confirmed recent redeployments along front lines with the SDF in the northeast and said they were not a prelude to an offensive, while the SDF denied attacking Aleppo checkpoints and said it had no forces in those neighborhoods.
