Overview
- Officers responded to a tip around 6:53 p.m. on Oct. 10 and found Jaime Perez-Garcia, 54, in a pickup with a 15-year-old in the Corcoran High School parking lot.
- Police say they recovered a bottle of alcohol and two shot glasses from the vehicle.
- Perez-Garcia, a vice principal at H. W. Smith Elementary School, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful dealing with a child.
- The teen told detectives they exchanged calls and texts but reported no physical relationship.
- The Syracuse City School District placed Perez-Garcia on administrative leave, and investigators asked anyone with information or other potential victims to contact SPD at 315-442-5222 or the McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center at 315-701-2985.
