• An officer fired his weapon after the aggressive dog allegedly lunged at him during attempts to control the situation.
• Initial police statements claimed the owner requested the shooting but she now insists she never agreed to have her dog shot.
• She says the officer’s shouted orders prompted the dog to charge in her defence, transforming a retreat into a fatal encounter.
