Overview

  • Sweeney underwent three and a half months of weightlifting, kickboxing and nutrition-focused training to mirror Martin’s athletic build.
  • She adopted brown contact lenses and a brunette mullet wig to capture the boxer’s signature look.
  • Directed by David Michôd with a script by Michôd and Mirrah Foulkes, the untitled film follows Martin’s ascent to WBC super welterweight champion before she survived a 2010 attempted murder by her husband.
  • Production wrapped in late 2024 and the project has now entered post-production ahead of its planned 2025 release.
