  • On Saturday night at around 10.40pm an 18-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck on Davies Road in Padstow Heights by a ute that allegedly ran a red light.
  • NSW Police allege the 26-year-old Illawong driver also disobeyed a right-turn-only sign immediately before the collision.
  • The crash investigation team charged him with dangerous driving occasioning death, negligent driving occasioning death, failing to stop at a red light and disobeying a right-turn-only sign.
  • He was refused bail overnight and is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Sunday.
  • Authorities have established a crime scene as investigators process evidence in support of the ongoing operation to deter reckless driving.
