- City officials had initially planned only a dove and the word “peace,” a gesture developed in consultation with the Jewish Board of Deputies.
- The bridge will also light up in blue at 10pm in recognition of event charity partner Beyond Blue, while separate Bondi Beach New Year’s Eve festivities were cancelled out of respect for the victims.
