SWR Overhauls TV Lineup With New Morning, Health and Music Programs

The broadcaster is shaking up its daily schedule in July by cutting staple series to make room for fresh regional weather, wellness, music programming.

Overview

  • From July 14, SWR will launch the weather show “Panoramablick – das Wetter im Südwesten” at 8 a.m. and the Bayerischer Rundfunk health segment “Aktiv und gesund” at 11 :55 a.m.
  • Long-running series and quiz staples such as “In aller Freundschaft – Die jungen Ärzte,” “WaPo Berlin,” “Nashorn, Zebra & Co.,” “Schlauberger” and the “Quizduell-Olymp” will be removed from the schedule.
  • Daily at 3 :15 p.m., the new 45-minute music nostalgia show “SWR Kulthits” will replace former afternoon quiz formats.
  • The weekend line-up will refresh on July 19 with “Assenheimers Promitalk” hosted by Edi Assenheimer and on July 21 with the revival of the 1983 series “Köberle kommt.”
  • SWR3 Visual Radio will begin weekend television broadcasts in July, airing live from 6 a.m. on both Saturdays and Sundays.
