Overview
- Swiggy reports Ashtami orders rose about 11.6% year over year with nearly 17% higher order value compared with 2024.
- Between September 22 and 30, the platform received over 99,200 orders for sabudana khichdi, more than 1.03 lakh for vrat thali, and nearly 70,000 for sabudana vada.
- Highest Ashtami activity came from Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi, with strong traction from Surat, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati and Vadodara.
- During Durga Puja in Kolkata, Swiggy recorded more than 60 orders per minute with a peak of 197 and logged over 9,000 biryani orders in three days, including one order worth ₹18,000.
