Swiggy Launches 'Giftables', a Rapid On-Demand Gifting Service Rolling Out Beyond Bengaluru

The company is targeting everyday gifting with an estimated $2.5–3 billion market.

  • The service is live in Bengaluru with expansion to Mumbai, Delhi and other metros in the coming days.
  • Orders can bundle items such as cakes, flowers, sweets, perfumes or toys into a single checkout using Swiggy’s food and Instamart networks, with delivery in about 10–60 minutes to the buyer or directly to the recipient.
  • The catalog features curated options across premium chocolates, cakes, flowers, electronics, jewellery and toys, with browsing by occasion, recipient or category.
  • An AI-powered chatbot for personalised gift recommendations is planned for release in the coming weeks.
  • Swiggy says it will focus on product–market fit with birthdays expected to be the biggest use case, and it has recently raised its platform fee to Rs 15 per order.
