• Sweden named the film its official submission for Best International Feature at the 98th Academy Awards.
• Written and directed by Tarik Saleh, the political thriller stars Fares Fares, Lyna Khoudri and Zineb Triki in a story set inside Egypt’s film industry.
• The film premiered in competition at Cannes and is slated for TIFF’s Centrepiece section before opening the Stockholm International Film Festival.

• Eagles of the Republic concludes Saleh’s Cairo trilogy, which includes The Nile Hilton Incident and Cairo Conspiracy, with Oscar nominations set to be announced on January 22, 2026.
