The cable, connecting Finland and Germany, sustained minor damage in Sweden's exclusive economic zone near the island of Gotland.
The cable's operator, Cinia, confirmed that the damage has not disrupted data traffic or communication functionality.
Previous incidents involving the same cable in late 2024 also prompted investigations into possible sabotage, though no definitive cause has been identified.
