Swasth Nari Health Drive Crosses 2.83 Lakh Camps Nationwide as Odisha Logs 52,942

The fortnight-long drive uses a whole-of-government network to deliver mass screenings through October 2.

Overview

  • By September 20, the Health Ministry reported more than 2.83 lakh camps with a cumulative footfall exceeding 76 lakh.
  • Screenings include about 37 lakh for hypertension, 35 lakh for diabetes, over 9 lakh for breast cancer, 4.7 lakh for cervical cancer, 16 lakh for oral cancer, 22 lakh for tuberculosis, and 2.3 lakh for sickle cell disease, alongside 15 lakh for anaemia.
  • More than 18 lakh antenatal check-ups have been completed, over 51 lakh children have received vaccinations, 4.7 lakh new Ayushman/PM-JAY cards have been issued, and 1.6 lakh blood donors have registered.
  • Odisha reports 52,942 camps reaching 28.46 lakh beneficiaries as of September 23, with more than 8,000 facility-level camps operating daily across districts.
  • Central institutes, medical colleges, and private organisations have held 3,410 specialty camps benefiting over 5.8 lakh people, while the Armed Forces Medical Services have run 60-plus camps serving around 30,000 women, including outreach in Jammu and Kashmir and the Northeast.
