Overview

• The award was presented at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi and received by District Collector Dr Venkateswar S along with APSPDCL Superintending Engineer Surendra Naidu.
• Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu hailed the recognition and congratulated the team, calling the achievement a step toward a greener Andhra Pradesh.
• The initiative installed free rooftop solar for 1,600 households in 45 days at a total cost of ₹20.68 crore.
• Funding comprised ₹10.19 crore from the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana alongside ₹10.49 crore from the Andhra Pradesh government.
• The 3,396 kW capacity is reporting 4.89 million units of annual generation valued at ₹3.79 crore with an estimated 1.92 lakh tonnes of emissions avoided.
