Overview
- The Swan & Dolphin, which held a ribbon-cutting Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, officially opened an expansion that adds more than 100,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
- The new construction includes a 38,000 square foot Upper Peninsula Ballroom, a 40,000 square foot Lower Peninsula multi‑function space, and 38,000 square feet of pre‑function area for registration and networking.
- With the addition the resort says its combined indoor and outdoor event footprint is about 600,000 square feet, a figure the property cites in claiming to be the largest convention hotel on the U.S. East Coast.
- Operated by Marriott and sited between EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the complex lets event planners combine large meeting rooms with on-site hotels, restaurants, recreation and park access to boost attendance.
- The expansion anchors a reported $275 million transformation of the resort and is expected to raise weekday convention traffic, which could make dining, pools and other guest areas busier during previously slow periods.
