Overview

• Defence Minister Rajnath Singh led an 'Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath' drive at the Army Headquarters canteen, took a cleanliness pledge, honoured Safai Mitras, planted a sapling, and flagged off a Safai Run with 100 NCC cadets.
• At Kalindi Kunj on the Yamuna ghat, the Ministry of Jal Shakti’s shramdaan reported roughly 2,500 kilos of waste collected in one hour with Union Minister C. R. Patil and MoS V. Somanna present.
• New Delhi Municipal Council said about 10,000 employees joined a citywide shramdaan across 14 sanitation circles supported by mechanical sweepers and pressure-jetting machines.
